VSAT network operates on a unique network that can’t
be inter-linked with another network. |

NMCE has negotiated
the best price with Bharti, Which is split into the
following three components :
I-One Time installation cost of Rs. 80,000/- (Sales
Tax / VAT Inclusive, Octroi/Entry Tax & Other Taxes
Extra).
II-Annual Bandwidth cost of Rs. 5,000/-
III-AMC is payable at Rs. 6,400/-(Taxes Extra) p.a.
from the second year. |

Yes, HCL Or Bharti
engineers would undertake shifting work to another
site on chargeable basis, Which would be borne by the
member. Details of this would be available from HCL or

shifting HCL COMNET :

De-Installation – 4,000 + Taxes

What type of equipment
is required to be procured for VSAT connectivity ?
|
VSAT antenna and
electronics, which includes IDU (In-Door Unit) and
ODU.IDU is connected using IFL cable to the ODU.IDU is
also linked to the Ethernet port of a hub or
switch connecting the internal LAN.IFL cable is provided by HCL or
Bharti. The Other requirement for site readiness would
be specified by HCL or Bharti engineer during the site
survey. Local Cabling work should be carried out by
the member.

5 terminals can
operate seamlessly on SSA VSAT. It is recommended not
to connect more than five terminals. akin to VSAT
set-up for NMCE trading. 20 terminals can operate on

Getting Connected |
What is the process
for applying for VSAT based connectivity ? |
After approval of
membership, a letter confirming number of VSATs
required (location-wise) needs to be forwarded to
Membership Department of NMCE. This should accompany
purchase Order with NOC,CST/LST declaration, Demand
drafts, Site Status report and any other document
specified (List of documents required for various
states is provided in Annextures) Formats for various
documents are give Annexture-2 to 6.NMCE would process the
connectivity request and advise Bharti would deliver,
Install and connect the terminals at member’s site.

Turnaround time for installation |
What is the time
required for VSAT installation ? |
Bharti moves the stock
from their office. It would take about a 15 to 20 days
depending upon the location and other factors like
waybill or road permit availability. |

The connectivity will
be online monitored at NMCE. In case of any

2)prior CUG approval would be required from DoT for
interconnecting multiple networks on a single router,
For trading, dedicated terminals would be required. |

|
What is the process
for applying leased link connectivity ?
|
Upon approval of
membership, a letter confirming desired number of
leased links needs be sent to Technology Department.
NMCE would fill-in and
complete the LL applications form with “End-A” local
address and “end-B” address of the trading member. The
application would be submitted by NMCE to respective
telephone exchanges for issue of demand note and work
order. All payments would be made to BSNL/NMCE
directly by the member.

What documents are
required for leased line connectivity ? |
Two main documents,
the first is an undertaking signed by Co.’s authorized signatory on the letter head stating the address at which
the leased line would terminate. The second document
is a CUG requirement and is an undertaking on a
non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs. 300/-. Format of
both these undertaking are provided on our website &
also in Circular No.2007-08/0028 |

Yes, This is similar
to shift of telephone lines payable as per BSNL
tariff. The request needs to be routed through NMCE

The bandwidth could be
upgraded in multiples of 64 kbps. A similar process
